Despite the many challenges of Covid-19, rove reports a significant number of Quality Management Professionals from the UK and beyond, have achieved accreditations from the Chartered Quality Institute (CQI).
In what’s been an unprecedented and challenging year, over 80 Quality Professionals, have completed over 200 courses, including 11 individuals attaining the Professional Certificate in Quality Management and six people accomplishing the Practitioner Certificate in Quality Management.
Dan Attwater, a Quality Engineer at Advanced Electric Machines Ltd – an internationally recognised designer and manufacturer of electric motors and powertrain systems, has recently achieved rove’s CQI and IRCA certified Practitioner Certificate in Quality Management.
Dan began studying the Certificate in March 2020, just as the coronavirus pandemic hit. A couple of weeks later, as the first lockdown began and new ways of working became the norm, Dan juggled his work and studies, and in October 2021 he was awarded the Practitioner Certificate in Quality Management.
“I am really pleased to have completed my Practitioner Certificate, especially in what’s been a challenging year-and-a-half for everyone.”
“I enrolled on the course to develop my knowledge and deepen my understanding of quality management and the knowledge I’ve acquired is really going to help with my role in the future,” said Dan.
The Practitioner Certificate in Quality Management is awarded by the Chartered Quality Institute (CQI) and is designed for aspiring and experienced quality managers. Comprising of eight courses, the Certificate provides delegates with a full understanding of management level quality topics and shows them how to apply this knowledge in their organisation and industry.
Chris Smith, rove’s Programme Lead for Quality Management, said; “It’s great to see more and more people achieving CQI and IRCA certifications, especially given the challenges of the last year or so. As we continue to experience the adverse effects and consequences of Covid-19 across every sector of the global economy, it’s becoming increasingly more important for quality professional to take a proactive approach to the challenges we face and influence organisations at a strategic level.
“We’re seeing more and more people from different sectors – from chemical, manufacturing, construction and distribution to name a few, undertaking our Quality Management courses. We’re confident these individuals are going to be in stronger position to face the challenges ahead.”
